(Help) Windows 10 formatted my second hard drive when reinstalling! Is there any way to get anything back?

Hello!

Yesterday I decided to reinstall Windows 10 to try and speed it up so I backed up all of my important files onto my second hard drive and continued on to reset it. I chose to completely wipe everything since I knew that I had a backup of all my important files. I didn't know that completely wiping everything would ALSO format my second hd and the flash drives that I had in my PC. So after it was finished reinstalling I found out that EVERYTHING was gone, including my backed up files. I have already tried multiple recovery softwares and they couldn't find anything on the drive. I fear that windows 10 may have shredded the files for privacy.

Is there anyway to get my stuff back or is it gone forever? Any help would be appreciated as the stuff I backed up was really important.

Thanks!

Solution
There is a reason why we always recommend having only the C drive connected when reinstalling or 'resetting', whatever.
A disconnected drive cannot be erased.

To get your stuff back? Recuva, TestDisk, Easus partition recovery might do the trick.

Anything they might find will need to be recovered to another drive, not the same drive.
