This setup is on a boat, I have a special wifi antenna with a USB connection output and a special router with a USB input connection. The signal is strong (5+ mbits) with laptop connected via the lan output of special router, and of course drops (2-3 mbits) when using wifi. Problem is, I believe the wifi output capability of this router is weak. The boat is 36' and when in bedroom less than 10 feet away, the wifi is -1 and useless.
Can I purchase a stronger wireless router and connect it via a lan connection to hopefully give a stronger wifi signal throughout the boat?
