So after having my AMD a6-5400k on my ASUS Mobo for a while i decided to get something a little better so i decided to go with the AMD athlon x4 860K after checking my mobo's CPU support, after installing it and coming into a problem that was easily solved by updating the Bios I come across another problem where i cant get it to load windows. i even tried doing it in safe mode

I also recently put an evga geforce gt 730 2gb GPU in there too but everything was running fine until i tried with the new processor

ANY advice would be appreciated. Please and thanks.

I think you might need to perform a fresh install of windows. That is, uninstall and reinstall windows. You'd need your CD key for that, however. There are plenty of guides that explain it online (a little lengthy process)... although I'd wait for someone with some expertise to find this thread and offer other things to try first.

Hello,

When you install a new CPU, the system may not pick up the newer CPU straight away. Therefore it may think you have no CPU installed, even though you do. Have you gone into your computer's BIOS to make sure that the system has picked up your new CPU correctly? If not, please check. Also, your motherboard must be capable of taking the new CPU otherwise your computer won't boot-up at all.
