Hi all, I have a NXZT Source 220 elite case with me, and being the total clumsy I am, I didn't feel my screwdriver go over the tightness of the screw hole in one of my PCIe slots, and now the screw goes in, but is completely loose. Any suggestions? I'm currently trying to find a nut to put on the other side so that it stays tight.

Solution

go to the hardware store pick up a similar bolt (so it can go through the hole where the threads are) it needs to be a little longer so you could see some threads when the bolt is in so you could put a nut on it as you were planning.

other options would be a "screw" with a speed clip on the other side but there is not much room for the speed clip on the back i think.

also.. some cards are secured on...

also.. some cards are secured on 2 screws. (this is for your gpu?) if you have 1 out of the 2, you should be ok just make sure it's not too loose if it's on 1
