Hi all,

so I have replaced my broken HHD with a San Disk ultra 2 480GB on my HP ProBook 4730s energy star, and the computer was originally preinstalled with windows 7 home premium, however I found I have purchased a Windows 8.1 pro key previously.

So I did the USB installation, and of course after first reboot it shows the notorious IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL problem. Then it keeps rebooting until the point where the message "windows cannot proceed install thingy" is shown. After that I have been trying everything to help fix it, including :

updated the bios to latest(through using HP USB diagnostic tools to firmware management),
also did the manufacturer system test,
enabled or disabled UEFI,
AHCI yes,
ran /scannow, dskchk, in command prompt,
tried start up repair cannot perform,
managed to call boot Mgr into display, however can't boot into safe mode as it said it can't continue installation in safe mode,
I don't know how to update all the drivers as the message shown is not specific to any particular. sys. But also because I cannot even continue the installation process and boot into anything,
Removed rams, newly installed SSD,

So please provide me with anything I can possibly do. Thanks so much!
