So heres my problem, this summer i bought the gtx 960 and thr a10-7890k. Ive watched videos with the older a10-7850k and the gtx 960 running battleifled on high with good frames but with my setup I cant even run battlefield on low at 20fps.

My cpu jumps to 100% and my cpu stays at 60% but rhe temps are fine. If anyone knows a fix please help!

Your CPU is bottlenecking your GPU. The CPU isn't very strong in gaming. Also make sure you are running off the 960 and not the APU, simple mistake if so. The beta also is not the most optimized thing so it could improve with full game.

So you saying this cpu (a10-7890k) is worse than the a10-7850k? and I've made sure im not using the cpu's integrated graphics =/

Is there any other things that it could be causing this? Maybe even my motherboard just being slow? Anything is worth a try. I could try selling my cpu and mobo in a last case ditch and get a i5 and a decent mobo =/

Check the GPU usage when in game with tools like afterburner. And see if 960 is being used or not . It may that your games on radeon graphics on the APU all the time. The solution is go into the nvidia graphics driver and manually select games you want to play with 960 in 3D settings.
This may do the trick.

The CPU goes to 100% on all four cores while the gtx only hits about 60%, so technically the gtx960 is being used a bit... I also disabled integrated graphics so nvidia can only use the gtx960 automatically. But the first two cores in the cpu get over 4000mhz while the second two cores wont go above 2000mhz

Alright thanks for the info, will probably just try for a new mobo and cpu.. but thanks anyways!!!

You will realise that the GPU usage varies from 1% -30% -99% etc. To detect a bottleneck you need to check for both CPU and GPU usage, If the CPU usage is in the the high 90s and the GPU usage is rapidly changing then it is a big bottleneck. The GPU isn't working hard and therefor has low GPU Usage, the GPU is waiting for the CPU to 'catch up'.
Your CPU is achieving 70+% and the GPU is forced to wait for it to complete its cycle.
If you want to remove the bottleneck i recommend getting an i5 4460 or i5 4590, these CPUs are great and will remove any bottleneck. If you do switch to intel I recommend ASUS H81M-PLUS LGA 1150 as a great budget motherboard :)
Note: Low GPU usage and High CPU usage generally means a bottleneck is apparent.

Alright, I was looking at the i5-4460 too!! and thanks for the mobo suggestion! Also what frames would you think a i5-4460 and gtx960 would achieve on some of the newer games(battlefield1,etc)? Thanks!

One of my friends has an i5 4460 and a gtx 960 aswell, he gets around 65fps on ultra and that is still in the beta. You can expect more than 60fps ultra in the full game.
