I haven't built a PC before so I'm unsure what i should be getting.

My current build is :
CPU Intel core i5-4690
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3 ATX
HDD Hitachi Ultrastar 2TB
GPU Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX

Thanks a lot!
(any advice on the rest of the build is more than welcome)

I'm in the UK and in total i have a £800 budget, which leaves about £100 for the power supply, that PSU seems good, thanks.

Thanks for the advice about SSD I'll look into that!

I just ran a watage calculator that said the ideal power supply is around 380W for your build, however, you did not include all the parts for your build. Could you please go more in detail?

The only additional parts are :
CPU cooler cooler master hyper 212
SSD samsung 850 EVO
RAM G.Skill X-series DDR3-1600

Sorry i had not written any of these down, as i had not decided on them.

(no CD drive listed as i am using one from my last PC)

M8, calculators are crap and the number of watts is meaningless.
there are plenty of crap PSUs out there that can't do what they state.

that's not really important - the total power consumption of your system under load could be well over 300W if overclocked.
That means you need at least 500W of a decent PSU.
