I currently have a asrock n68-gs4 fx and an amd fx 4300 and im going to soon purchase a i5 6600k and a new motherboard. I know what im doing with putting it together and swapping everything, but i was wondering if there is anything else i have to do or is it as simple as just swapping them over.

Ok, i knew about the ram but thanks, didnt know i had to reinstall windows. When i have changed everything, how should i reinstall windows? Should i uninstall windows first?

It depends on your drive configuration, how they are partitioned and if there is something you wish to save.
If there is nothing to save, then just clean drive before windows install and proceed to installation.
If you have some non-trivial drive/partition configuration or something needs to be saved then it might be a bit more complicated.
Can you post screenshot from Disk Management?

Most of it is just games tbh. Will just have to reinstall everything, nothing overly important. Anything i need ill put on a external hard drive then put back on. Thanks for the help!
