I was talking with a friend, they want to get a new laptop with a budget of 450$, they want to get as much gaming out of it as possible (which wont be much, but still), so I wanted so see if you guys here have had any experience with stuff like this.

In my opinion, spending $450 on a laptop for gaming is a waste of $450. It's not like you can upgrade it when you have more money to spend. Looking on Newegg, the lowest cost of what I would consider a "gaming laptop" would be this $700 MSI GL62 6QF-628. Even so, while this system may be good for this year and maybe next year, games will likely stop running well on this system not long after that and you're back to square one.
