I've installed Windows 7 Pro. I set the "check updates" setting and no updates appeared after 24 hours. The disk I used had SP 1 on it. Is there a website where I can go and manually download the update?

Thanks,

Thank you for responded. I go to Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3172605) and hit download. The Windows update Standalone Installer starts and then in a few seconds I get the message ''The update is not applicable to your computer".

I've only manually installed Explore 11, so I could get website. Any additional help would be appreciated.

Thank you again,

I restrarted my computer. Open the https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=46817. I then get the message box 'Windows Update Standalone Installer with the message Searching for updates on this computer. Do I click on the "Check for updates" button now?

I'm donating the computer to a small private school who is still on Windows 7 Pro, so it is not an option to load Windows 10. I appreciate you taking the time to respond and providing information to help me. If you have other suggestions, I would like to hear them too. I may end up reformatting the HD and doing the install again too.

Thank you again for your help,

Hi All.
I have just got off the phone to Consumer Rights about this problem.
Now I have a genuine Windows disc and key.
But I can't seem to find the invoice for it if I did have the invoice they can do something about it.Please can I ask anyone who has this problem and still have their invoice to contact them on this.
03454040506.
Now I have been in contact with Microsoft and I had to allow them to remote access my PC and they were trying to fix the problem for over an hour and a half after they had finished they said that I should get the update's now.
So I went to try ans look for update's and had to leave the PC on all night and at 5.45am I got some update's but not all of them and I'm still not getting any More update's from Microsoft .
Am Appealing to all who have Windows 7 and an invoice for the operating system to contact the above number and they will sort it out .
I also the a word document that copyed from Microsoft wile they were trying to fix the update's problem if anyone would like me to email to you.

I hope this can help .

All the best .
