I am running 32 Bit Windows Vista Home Premium, which is 64 bit capable, on my Vostro 400 tower. I was wondering the easiest way to get to a 64 Bit system and what is required to do so.
Here is some more information:
BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6550 @ 2.33GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
Memory: 3198MB RAM
Page File: 1503MB used, 5132MB available

Solution
you have to use a 64bit install disk and do a clean fresh 64 bit install theres no just upgrading to it

by the way my 32 but vista does a better job then my 64 bit I got some programd and games that don't have a 64 bit installer and will not install on any 64 bit os

look at far cry 1 dvd for a example of this - 64 bit was removed from its installer [the game that came on the cd's works fine ]
