Hello,

So I have an Asus Sabertooth Z77 and I'm running windows 10 with realtek drivers that were installed by windows update. I am using a usb headset (Logitech g633).

So i want to be able to plug in things like tablets into my line in audio so that i can watch stuff on a tablet and use the headset that i have for my pc. The only problem is that when i enable line in i get a static noise.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks,
Tom

This has worked so a certain degree. By using the rear mic port i can use noise suppression and acoustic echo cancellation. This makes the noise almost silent up to 60% volume but it makes the audio sound worse. So now its a choice between good quality audio and static or no static and bad audio.

I literally have no idea when it comes to audio equipment. Any ideas of what would be best? I dont have much of a budget but if it is a must then i guess I can wait until i can afford it.
I also read that sometimes sound cards can fix issues like this. I had looking into them but again i have no idea what is a good or bad sound card. I can only decide based on reviews.

Thanks
