I had this same problem with windows 7, but it turns out that the windows 7 disc wasn't the full version. I downloaded windows 8 and burned to a disc, and tried to install it onto my pc. But, when I do that, it says that there is no drivers or something like that. I don't know if my hard drive is bad or if it's not plugged in all the way. I know that the SATA cable is plugged into it, and that's it. My hard drive is a WD Black 1TB and my power supply is a EVGA 500w PSU. Like I said, the only thing that's plugged into it is a SATA cable. If there are more cables that need to be plugged into it, please tell me. And be as specific as possible about what the chord(s) look like and where to put them. Thanks.
