hi. i am from South asia so here the ambient temp is avg 30'c. is it normal to have 38'c - 45'c cpu temperature at normal workload (browsing, media play)? also at these temps cpu fan rpm is around 2200rmp. is it not a problem? because with those figures i assume at moderate load (50-60'c) cpu fan will work 100%. greatly appreciated any thoughts.

Intel core i5-6500 with stock cooling fan.

hard to say ?? could be what the load is on the cpu ? how well you mounted the cooler or how correctly ? room temps as you stated ? even the so called best cpu cooler is only as good as its mounted correctly a small ''goof'' can be a 5or more c difference in temps ??

a lot of factors can come into play

30c is pretty warm for room air temps [86f] so you may not be too bad off your cpu is just above that , so ???.....

I think you need tp see what your max load temps are holding at idle may not be too important at your room air temps as hot as it is in there

I don't know if intels processor diagnostics tool is skylake ready / compatible yet ?

this will heat things up don't run a test / calculation that exceeds your installed memory or it will run in swap and take for ever

my poor old 4670 will get up to like 75c so far the hottest it has got

or do you know the hottest temps your chip has got under any full load you have put to it ?
