i recently upgraded my laptop to windows 10 and since doing so my dvd writer wont recognise any discs it gets power to it and will spin the disc but wont read or write anything, i trawled online to find a solution but to no avail everything i have tried from the reg edit fix, uninstalling it and uninstalling the sata none have worked, upon investigating i have found that although it doesnt show in my conputer i can find it if i click on "this pc" then right click on the drive, -properties, -hardware, then click on the drive which is "TSSTcorp CDDVDW SU-208CB" it shows it as a cd-rom drive if i then click properties again then driver it shows the driver date as 21/06/2006 and the driver details show it as a cd-rom but its not it wont let me update the driver either as it says its up to date, this is the second time this has happened to me the first time on my other laptop the problem sorted itself out after a couple of weeks but i cant wait this time as i have work due.
Any Help at all would be very greatfully recieved
Thanks Sarah
