As the title says, my pc has been crashing for about a week now, mostly while gaming though lately, especially today, there have been times where it does it seemingly without any reason.

When it crashes it loops the last sound to play and vertical stripes appear across the screen, sometimes it'll just be a black screen though.

Now whenever this happens and I have to hard reset the pc when I get everything back up and running it takes forever for the pc to get up to speed. It'll hang trying to do any sort of process for around 15 to 20 minutes of being on, afterwards it's mostly okay.

WhoCrashed doesn't detect any dump files since about April of this year even though I have everything set up properly, at least according to my friend, who has way more experience in the tech field than I.

I've ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool and nothing out of the ordinary turned up there.

There are numerous reasons why a PC can crash. These can range from corrupted Operating System files, to corrupted data on a Hard Disk, etc. Your computer could be trying to access data on your Hard Disk which has become corrupted, so it can't access it. I would advise trying a different graphics card first. That could be the problem. As a last resort, I would recommend the following:

Backup all important PC data, if you can.
Remove the old Hard Disk Partition, then creating a new one. This will completely remove your current Operating System
Format the new partition, then install everything again. I know its tedious and takes time, but it worked for me numerous times. I'll be happy to give more advice, if you need it.
