Hey i got a new monitor today and its a benq XL2411Z i bought a dvi cable and its not working but when i use vga with the dvi adapter it works but i can only use 60hz my graphics card is an gtx 560 ive been looking around and been trying all the stuff but nothings working pleas help me

Your new monitor should come with the right cables. The cable you bought may not be the right one since dvi comes in different varieties: analog, digital single link, digital dual link, etc. It's a PITA to deal with and I would rather use hdmi or display port.
