Hi Guys,

I have an Asus P8Z68-V PRO motherboard that I have had since 2011 and yesterday I tried to install 32gb (4x8) of Corsair Vengeance RAM.

Previously I had 8gb (2x4) of Corsair Dominator RAM in there and it was working fine.
When I installed the new Vengeance sticks my machine would not start up at all and the MemOK! light was on. I followed the instructions in the manual on how to use the MemOK! switch to try different failsafe settings, but that didn't work either.

Eventually I figured the RAM would not work in my PC and I'd have to return it, but when I put the old sticks back in they wouldn't work either! Now I can't get any of the sticks I have to work in any configuration (i.e. one stick at a time or two at a time; different slots; I am not mixing sets).

The Dominator memory was 1600MHz @ 1.65v and the new Vengeance i tried to install was 2400MHz also 1.65v
(This motherboard only accepts DDR3 memory)

I don't know what else I can try; I've put the sticks in after resetting the cmos and still nothing.
Am I overlooking something important?

Clear the CMOS again, you need to wait for 5-10min before put back the battery.
If your PC can boot into the BIOS, set up the intel XMP profile in the memory section, save, exit, and reboot the PC to see the PC will work with the old RAM or not.
