I have a 2TB External Drive that works fine in all machines except my main laptop.

It shows as NTFS on all other machines except for the main laptop where it shows as empty and RAW.

I've backed up the important data so not worried about formatting it, however when I attempted to use easeus (on the main laptop) the easeus partition master software reads it as not empty and as an NTFS. I don't want to have to format it if I don't have to (saving the not so important data).

I'm guessing as it works everywhere else, there must be something wrong with this main laptop.

Any clues?

Hi Phil, thanks for the response, I've already tried assigning another letter to the drive, it made no difference, I've also tried other drives on this main laptop and they all work fine. it's clearly a problem with this machine and probably something simple but also frustrating.

I'm going to check the drivers again.
