Hello everyone!

I'm a console gamer who wants to get into PC gaming. Gaming is what I will be mostly doing on this PC. I have never built a PC before and after doing tons of research, I came up with this parts list:

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/PyPjZ8

With this, I want to get to 1440p gaming at around 60fps on ultra or high settings and from what I've heard, I can get that with a GTX 1070. I just want to make sure these components will work together properly. I also need help looking for a good micro ATX motherboard since I been having trouble finding one, unless if the one that I already have on the list is good enough.

I am not interested in overclocking, SLI/Crossfire or duel monitors, though I do want to try my hand at VR someday. I would also like to keep the price of the build in between $1,500 and $2,000.

Thanks in advance! :)

Solution
That is a very nice build - I actually have no changes to make. I was thinking i5 6500 as I was reading your post - and there it is.

EDIT: Increase RAM to 16GB.

Hey thanks! Originally I wanted to go with the i5 6600 non-k version but realized that the i5 6500 would be the better choice.

True, 8 is a good amount but 16 is definitely preferred, at least for me that is. But keep in mind that you don't have to buy it now, you can easily install it later. And just like everyone else has been saying, the rest looks just fine.

Yeah I kept going back and forth think if I should use 16GB or 8GB since 8GB what some people recommend for gaming. But I might as well add 16GB considering my budget. Thanks for the advice!
