Every microphone I try to use is too sensitive!

First off, sorry if this is the wrong category.

I am getting into YouTube and just picked up a Blue Snowball iCE. Since I did not know at the time I quickly learned there is a difference between the iCE and the snowball. My problem is it is picking up my keyboard and mouse clicks. EVERY one of them! I am testing it out in audacity and the I put the recording level to 0.01! It still picks it all up. Just quieter. So instead of a loud mouse click its more of a faint mouse click. This also makes my voice extremely quiet even though the microphone is barely 5 inches from my mouth.

To top it all off, I tried to see what would happen using my headphones. I wanted to just have them for the audio but they have the mic so I wanted to see what would happen. Same thing. (my headphones are the Razer Kraken 7.1 Chromas) At .01 level - even my headset picks up my keyboard sounds. It's starting to piss me off.

If anyone could lead me to some setting I'm missing or something I'm doing wrong I would be so grateful. I can also return the Snowball iCE to Fry's if needed. Since I bought it just today.

PS. I have ordered both a pop filter and a mic stand on Amazon. But I'm not sure if those would help. Thanks.

Cardioid polar pattern (per specs) - may not be applicable to your setup.

Filter and mic stand may not be completely viable....

Google "microphone polar patterns" to get a sense of what is involved and perhaps you may want to reconsider the Blue Snowball purchase.

Or be able, thereafter, to identify some product or placement that will make the Blue Snowball fully workable for you.
