Front headphone jack not working

So I didn't think of plugging my headphones into my case until recently, and when I did, The sound stopped playing out of my speakers, but no sound came out of my headphones. I tried plugging them into the back i/o port and they work just fine, but i tried the front again and the same problem happened. If this helps, I'm using an Asus M5A78L-M USB3 motherboard and a Corsair air 240 case with an HD audio cable that is correctly plugged into the motherboard (I checked). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My earbuds don't appear in the playback devices..
