Do I need a better PSU after upgrading from GTX 770 to 1070?

Right now... I have the XFX PRO650W and have had it for the past two years. I bought myself a 1070 and was wondering if I need a new PSU because I am upgrading my GPU?

Don't know if it matters, but I have an i7-4770k as well.

I'm pretty sure the GTX 770 uses quite a bit more power than the GTX 1070, so you should be fine.

Yes, that's a good quality unit you got, and more than enough for a gtx 1070.

If you need more confirmation, I run an i7 4790+gtx 1070 on a 550w psu with no issues

oh lol! This PSU was/ still is apart of my first build ever, so I did not even know it was/ is pretty high quality... ty for the info!
