Hi! I need help to choose an upgrade of memory for my Alienware 17R3.

Corsair Vengeance Performance Memory Kit 32GB DDR4 2666MHz CL18 Unbuffered SODIMM CL 18-19-19 (no XMP)

or

Kingston Technology HyperX Impact 32GB 2400MHz DDR4 CL14 SODIMM Laptop Memory CL 14-14-14 (with XMP)

which is better/faster? which has lower latency? Is latency better than RAM speed in terms of Mhz? Not for playing games.

My bad i slept since i last posted here; my previous post contained a link to CL15. Aulthough the latency is 15-17-17-35 there are not many SODIMM CL15 2666MHz sticks with 32GB. With 32GB RAM you wont really notice any difference between CL15 and CL18.

The kingston RAM is faster and 8GB is enough; though if you can get a 2x8GB set go for that.

I do not understand. It is faster than Corsair Vengeance 2666 mhz? As can be faster if Corsair operates at 2666 mhz and bandwidth 21300? Kingston operates at 2400 mhz and bandwidth 19200...

that difference outweighs the latter as having a higher frequency has many more cycles in which transmit data?
In addition, latency then be virtually the same as despite having more clock cycles waiting, these are shorter when operating at higher frequency. My conclusion is correct?

someone makes ddr4-2666mhz with less CL18??

It is higher frequency which is basically the speed of memory instructions sent per second but the CL is how fast it can actually execute those instructions (Correct me if im wrong). You really wont notice much difference but yes, there is
