Settings fans to spin at high speed at low system usage?

So I had my cpu temps going way to high for a newly built gaming pc, so I decided to let my fans spin at higher rate even at lower system usage. The temps for the cpu now is significantly lower but I fear that letting the fans always spin will cause some damage in the long run. Also my gpu temp is at 45 celcius at idle and 76 celcius under load. IS there a way to reduce the heat on gpu? I already have installed extra fans but they seem not to help. Also tried removing the side panel but that only helped on cpu temps.

You're talking about your GPU right? Not your CPU? Either way, I think 76C under load is a bit warm, but most cpu/gpu are able to withstand high 80s C if not higher. I wouldn't be too worried, but you should read...

How is the general airflow in your case? If there is no airflow more fans won't help cool down the cpu. Maybe the coolingpaste on the CPU has to be replaced, idk how old and which type of CPU you have?

Do you mean 76 degrees celcius is cool for gpu under load? Or fahreinheit.

You're talking about your GPU right? Not your CPU? Either way, I think 76C under load is a bit warm, but most cpu/gpu are able to withstand high 80s C if not higher. I wouldn't be too worried, but you should read up on your hardware and make sure what the threshold is.

I had my computer's BIOS set to 100% CPU fan speed on my Phenom X4 965 with stock cooler for 4.5 years, and I've had no problems (aside from the noise!). However, if you don't want high fan speed all the time (e.g., when idling at low temps), there should be a setting in your BIOS that will help you pick a target CPU temperature and a lower target fan speed for when your CPU is below that temperature. This does not apply to the GPU though. Check your mobo manual for more info on temp/fan regulation.

Finally, if you want your GPU to run at a lower temp you could try "undervolting" it, but I am not an expert on that topic, and this can cause unwanted stability problems (or worse!), so always be careful, and do your research when tinkering with stuff like that!
