Regarding my cpu its old and its poor performance is there any way to overclock my cpu to achieve good performance in games or rendering. as i can't invest money to upgrade i just want to achieve normal increase in performance.i don't want to make it crash or blow.i want neat & stable overclock my rig is
MOBO : intel DG41CN G41 chipset
RAM : 4gb (2x2)
PSU : 450 watt
GPU : gt 730 1gb gddr5 (not overclocking this one)
CPU : intel pentium E5500 @ 2.8 ghz
All i want is guide to overclock CPU only to increase some pc/gaming performance.
i am not pc geek so please try to explain in general terms :)

And ya i will be playing warframe game incase you wanna know this is cpu intensive game. no matter setting are ultra or low frame rate is same. gpu have nothing to do with it so wanna overclock my cpu

If the motherboard BIOS supports it, set front side bus to 233 which should net you 3.2Ghz without the need to up the cpu voltage, if you do, do it in small increments.

In theory, you can get it to 3.7Ghz FSB266, with a volts, but keep it under 1.4v and make sure you have good cooling.

As always, overclocking is at your own risk.
