I'd go the Z170-A, great mobo, have done a number of builds with it, a good alternate (also Asus) is their Z170 Pro Gaming

They've had problems - MSI I won't do client builds with as they have poor QC (quality control), I only build on Asus, the Rock and GB mobos

Also what the difference with the Pro gaming version? is it marketing?

A little, the Gaming has better sound, the BIOS is a bit better, other wise minor differences - can compare the 2 direct here:
