Hello! I am putting together my first ever build and could use some Guidance.

Hi there. I'm excited to say that i'm ready to take the plunge into building a PC.

My primary uses involve Unreal Engine 4, Rhino 5, Touch Designer, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Cinema 4d, Vray.

Also, i do a lot of Projection mapping/ VJ work using Resolume Arena 5. I use my MBP for this, but when displaying 1080p on three projectors at a time it cant always stay at a solid 30 fps.

-----
My budget is 1300 - 1500.

-----
I have put together this proposed build.

-----
I am very new to this. From my research it seems the gtx 1070 is worth every penny (more than what i want to spend but so be it), and an i7 would benefit me when it comes to after effects and rhino and having many programs running at a time.

I have selected the other components based on various build guides / my budget, but know much less about how they play with one another to their fullest efficiency.

Additionally, the case i found has only two usb ports. Doesn't seem like enough. Also, could it fit into a smaller case? I am having trouble imagining how much extra room will be inside.

I will likely have to transport this computer every now and again for work.

Is 16gb RAM enough?

Thank you in advance for the advice guys. Can not wait to start building!!!

Solution
Performance is more important to me than mobility right now, so I am going to go with a bigger case like the Phanteks. The original solution that you reccomended: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/RQtcbj

Also, sorry if this is a dumb question, but this build will have one hdmi port i believe. Is there a way to add additional ports to the PC?

If not, I already own a dell display link dock that I use with my laptop that works well. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=1135887&gclid=CNn1-_ip-84CFQmIfgod5YEMAA&is=REG&ap=y&m=Y&c3api=1876%2C92051677682%2C&Q=&A=details

PSU is not a good choice, and you can get a 1070, for less. Cryorig H7 would be a much better cooler, for less. This has a much better PSU, faster clocked 1070, and an M.2 SSD, with a bit more capacity.

Wattage was fine, but it's questionable quality, would have me concerned about longevity. The coolermaster mini I do not think has enough room, to fit the Zotac card. Mini-ITX only has 1 expansion slot, so you would not be able to add more USB ports, and use a dedicated GPU.

would there be a noticable difference in performance between the Zotac and the Gigabyte mini cards? I assume with the smaller size comes a drop in quality.

Now that I am looking at these mini-itx cases I would love to be able to transport it in my backpack for gigs.

There wouldn't be a significant difference, in performance. If you want one that stands a better chance of fitting in a backpack, then this would maybe suit you better.
