Main monitor blinking, second monitor black

I just came back from a weekend trip to find my computer is having a problem with my dual monitors (both dvi). The second monitor is on but black and I'm not sure if the computer is detecting it. When going into display settings it says there are two monitors, when I click identify only the main monitor is identified, and when I click detect a "new monitor" appears with "display not detected". The main monitor also blinks every few seconds (it varies but like 5-15) and re-centers the mouse.

Both monitors are hooked up to my GPU (GTX 970) and I can confirm that my drivers are up to date and that no one used my computer over the weekend. I have tried turning off the power and psu off for 10+ seconds. Each monitor works correctly if the other monitor is not plugged in (i.e. monitor A works if B is not plugged in and B works if A is not plugged in).

Any advice is much appreciated.

Fixed, somehow the Nvidia control panel got screwed up. I turn computer on today with both monitors plugged in and the main monitor is not blinking anymore but the second monitor is still black. Was able to fix it by going to "Control Panel > Nvidia Control Panel > Enabled Multiple Displays" and checking the other monitor; no idea how it even got screwed up in the first place.
