I purchase a sd card for my phone bit its not reconizing the card? Do i need too reformat the micro sd i use android core prime ty

If it's not even seeing that the card is in the device, it may be too large to be used in the phone, or it's a bad card or card slot. Test the card on a computer or another phone.

it works in a computer sadly so prob to large what size should i go i just need 14gig for music :/

According to the specs, Galaxy Core Prime should be OK with up to a 64 GB card. You may want to double-check that you clicked it in properly, or get a second card to test with the phone.
