hi,
having a lot of trouble with installing windows 8 on my laptop.
will try to keep it short and sweet: have a lenovo G50-30 Laptop, was running windows 8. using laptop one day, put it down to go eat, came back to a screen saying windows could not boot, and to reinstall windows.
installed windows 8 install disk onto a usb, tried to boot from usb, same screen, restarted and tried again, same screen.
bought windows installation disk, popped it in, turned on laptop, same screen.
have messed around in BIOS, trying disabling and enable things like legacy, secure boot, etc/turning off everything but cd drive and then booting from that.
furthest i've got is figure a from this article, but after that screen it just fades to black, the disk drive doesn't turn, and nothing happens though i've left it for an hour plus, it just says turned on and with a black screen.
any suggestions or help would be great!!
