HDD space issue

I have a 1TB hdd and use windows 10. My boot drive is a different SSD.

The file explorer says that only 47.4GB is available(empty). I look what's on the hdd and check the file size of the contents and it lists 481GB. I do not believe there is only 47.4GB of available space on this.

How can I trouble shoot this issue?

Well, that is really strange. I believe you can try to run the same tool once again. Yet, you can do it as an administrator. (could be obstructed by some kind of restrictions)

Thanks for looking into this.

I looked at disk management. My E drive states capacity of 931.51GB with 50.62GB available

Windirstat shows E drive to be 481.5GB in the >size field

Is this indicative of anything?

Hi there rock4ever,

Is all of the space unallocated under Disk Management? Do you see a black bar over there? In case there is some unallocated space, you will need to extend the existing partition or create a new partition out of it.
If this is not the case, it would be really nice to provide screenshots of Disk Management and the tool results. Just upload the screen to an image hosting website and post the link.

Cheers,
