Will a Samsung 850 500GB be good enough for gaming or is a 1TB version of the Samsung 850 better for gaming?

I plan on putting my OS, Steam and other games on the SSD while video, pics and etc. would be on the HDD?

TL:DR Should I go with 500GB SSD for gaming or the 1TB SSD?

By "better for gaming" do you mean big enough to hold all your games? It seems you would be best equipped to answer that, as none of us know how many/which games you play.

I feel like 500 GB would be plenty. Even if it's not enough to hold all your games, just keep your favorites and whatever you're currently playing on the SSD, and the rest on your HDD. It's relatively easy to swap them between drives without having to download them again.

So I can just swap the witcher 3, GTA V, No mans sky, Bannerlord(In the near future I HOPE), Doom and my other 80 steam games?

I suggested 1TB because I have a 512GB SSD in my main system, and it's about to be out of space. I don't even have that many games, and all my clutter files are on my HDD. My sister has a 250GB SSD and she's already had to put about 500GB worth of games on her HDD.

Are you actually playing all/many of those games on a regular basis? If so, then yes you should probably go with a 1 TB drive.

I figured most people tend to only really play a handful of games at a time. I have about half a dozen games installed on my 240 GB SSD, along with OS and frequently used applications, and it's only half full. But I don't play that many AAA games, which probably take up more space.
