I don't see anywhere in the specs where it states SAS with an onboard controller built into the motherboard. However, the manual states 4 SAS connectors which can be seen also from the website picture. Anywhere someone can link a reference to where it states SAS ready, please? You'll notice that there are 4 SAS "connectors" facing vertically up from the motherboard vs traditional SATA connectors along with the Marvell section.
