Thank you in advance for helping me.

I ran a benchmark of rise of the tomb raider on high settings, not very high, and got an average of 59.75 fps. I see online a lot of people score in the 90's with graphics cards older than mine.

-Note- I do have an older i7 4770 CPU, however I still find it hard to believe that that is the reason i'm losing over 30+ FPS.

-My GPU Runs at about an average of 80C temp
-I checked that I am running PCIe x16 gen 3, and I am.

I would really like to get the most out of this card and I feel like I am not.

with an average like that it might seem you have vsync enabled

*But I thought V-Sync was supposed to be on to help screen tearing? I do have Triple Buffering on in game, and under Nvidia control panel

how are you supposed to get more than 60 fps if you have vsync on???

XD *hint: it locks fps to your monitors refresh rate*

I keep getting screen tearing, i can get up to 150 frames in rise of the tomb raider, but i have screen tearing because of my 60hz monitor. If I turn on V-Sync, it dips into 45 and its very frustrating

you can try this:

install msi afterburner

turn off vsync in the drivers and the game, make sure you set max performance in the nvidia drivers

set fps limiter in rivatuner statistics server instead

just click on "global" and set the framerate limit to 60

Thank you for your help, It actually made the screen tearing worse though. I think my solution is just to buy a 144hz monitor
