What do you call a graphics card that has MSI, Asus, Gigabyte and etc. with it?

Like for example Asus ROG GTX 1080 STRIX, MSI GTX 1080 OC

Can someone tell me what those mean and what are the benefits of them compared to a standard gtx 1080 in terms of performance and other benefits aside from higher price and a fan for low temp?

Well after market 3rd party GPU/RAM Coolers and Factory Over clocking are the main differences. Some other 3rd party coolers might include LED lighting, higher quality fans, better end user over clocking ability and software from the 3rd parties meant for observing performance parameters of the Graphics card and software for over clocking/under clocking the graphics cards.

Higher base clock speed + more room to get higher speeds, much better cooling, better high quality parts used so you can push them harder, Strix has RGB Lighting as well: https://www.asus.com/au/Graphics-Cards/ROG-STRIX-GTX1080-O8G-GAMING/

These are Custom Cards, or Aftermarket Cards, or Partner Cards.

The usual benefits from a partner card is better/more VRMs for cleaner power delivery, a better/quieter cooling solution and better default clock speeds (overclocks can be better than reference nvidia cards, but results may vary.).

On the overclocking front, the aftermarket cards for the 10xx series do not offer any overclocking headroom than the standard nvidia reference cards unfortunately :( - however because of their better cooling solutions, they will usually stay at a higher overclock for a lot longer, whereas the reference cards will downclock earlier as their heat builds up faster.

Hope this helps!
