I submit the question of whether or not to pair an Intel 6850k with Asus X99 A-II motherboard. I plan on overclocking my cpu and ram, as well as have sli config with the use of 1 m.2 ssd. I want to know if i am taxing the mb too much when doing this and am i capable of this config with the 40 lane cpu. Please educate me as much as possible.

There are too many problems with ASUS X99 motherboards frying CPUs. I would suggest MSI, Gigabyte, EVGA, or ASROCK. For you, I would recommend the MSI X99 SLI PLUS.

Close to two years. I'm on my fourth X99-A and my third 5820K. Just google "ASUS X99 overvoltage" and "ASUS X99 dead CPU."
