Hey guys.

Today I just became one of those guys that took a hyperx fury 1866 1x8 and stuck it on the mobo. Of course the pc wouldn't show a thing. Some have said that they made some efforts to make it work. I am a simple guy and I dont want to mess with stuff i dont know.

So now I'm looking for a compatible set of 2x4gb that will eventually work. I've also read that many others had issues with 4gb sets of ram and only one them would make the pc to work but not both.

I've searched the whole forum, I've searched the memory compatibility list of this specific mobo and I am not sure which set of ram work and which doesn't since there are many issues by many ppl. I may have missed something on the forum but I'm searching for hours and nothing came up.

I want to install 4x4gb later on this mobo. So is there a 4x4gb set that is compatible? Can I use a 2x4gb set and later install a same 2x4gb? Please help my find a compatible set for my mobo.

Thank you in advance!

In the QVL AMD list compatibility in a generic manner and inaccurately - technically the FX CPUs are rated to a 1333 MC (memory controller) and the info goes back to the original FX CPUs. They list 1866 to try and make it look better than the default for Intel CPUs. Most all 8320 and 8350 CPUs have no problem with 1866, though as mentioned above, I'd go 2x8GB rather than 4x4GB and set them in slots 1-3 or 2-4 for full dual channel utilization. Also yes should be fine with either the RJ X or the Snipers, this board was released before the intro of the RJ X sticks

Just found out about Corsair Vengeance (2x4) 8GB DDR3-1600MHz (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9). Will they do the trick? Do you know if I'm going to have any issues if I get another pair of these installed in case they are compatible?

Thanks you for your time and your answer. My CPU is an FX 8320. Are you 100% sure that the G.Skill will do? Also in the memory support list about DDR3 1866 says that: Only one DIMM per channel is supported for DDR3-1866MHz and higher speed as using an AM3+ CPU. So as the slots go 1-3-2-4 i can use 1 and 3 only?

Here is a picture of the memory compatibility list:

Why there is only 1-2-4GB referred by this list? I'm so confused and i dont have the money to spend for another non-compatible set of rams.

Thank you in advance!
