Hi there,
I would very much appreciate if you could help me on this.
Couple of days ago i took my uncle's old Acer Aspire T180 to upgrade it. It didn't come with hard drive but i had an old Toshiba hard drive which i plugged it in to see if it works.

Problem 1) This is where the problems started occurring; Start up repair failed to resolve the problem. I tried using system repair and all the options such as Restore backup, memory diagnose, or Toshiba HDD repair and other options all failed.

I thought it was the hard drive's fault thus i ordered a new Dell Toshiba Hard drive.

Problem 2) After installing the new hard drive it said "verifying DMI pool...Disk boot failure".
After searching online, it led me to the next possible solution that i need to reinstall Windows 7.

Problem 3) I found the product key on the side of the desktop under "Windows xp media centre 2005" and i tried to enter it on Microsoft but it was rejected.

I then found a download link for "Windows xp media centre 2005" which i thought was an OS like windows 7, and downloaded it onto a usb.

Problem 4) Using the .ISO file, i tried booting it onto the desktop through F12, however, the system was stuck on the message "verifying DMI pool..."

These are the problems I've encountered and trying to counter the problems led me to other problem.

Please would you assist me.

Thanks,

PS. I dont have the windows 7 disc or any other disk that came with the desktop.
