I'm working on building my first computer for my boyfriend's birthday. I have everything set up and i have been trying to get the power going on it. It works fine when I bypass the motherboard but won't power on when I have it plugged in. It's an Asrock AM3+ slot motherboard in a DIYPC Gamestorm case and an EVGA 700 PSU. I forgot to switch the power off when I plugged it in and when it is partially plugged in, the LEDs and fans pulse. I'm hoping that I don't have a short somewhere. I plug it all the way in and the power button on the case won't start up the system.
