Hi guys!

I am about to build my first PC, and I'd use it for gaming, some image/video editing in PS and Sony Vegas and programming.
Just wanted to know if everything sounded good and the form factor is good :)
I accept any tip ^_^

The list of components:

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K 4.00 GHz Unlocked Quad Core, Socket LGA 1151 [BX80662I76700K]
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG H7 Tower Cooler
MOBO: MSI Enthuastic Gaming Intel Z170A LGA 1151 DDR4 USB 3.1 ATX Motherboard (Z170A Gaming M3)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz (PC4-25600) C16
GPU: MSI GAMING GeForce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G2, 80+ GOLD 550W, Fully Modular, EVGA ECO Mode, 7 Year Warranty, Includes FREE Power On Self Tester, Power Supply 220-G2-0550-Y1
Case: NZXT H440 Mid Tower Case (Matt Black/Red /w Window)

Storage:
Samsung 950 PRO Series - 256GB PCIe NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD
WD Blue 1TB SATA 6 Gb/s 7200 RPM 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch Desktop Hard Drive

BIG QUESTION
Will the HDD bottleneck the ssd a lot? I am just gonna use the HDD as storage, and the SSD for OS and few programs I frequently use

Location: Fort Myers - FL [USA]
Overclocking: Maybe

More Information:

  • Don't need an OS
Already have an ultra wide monitor, keyboard, mouse and headset

Considering you're going to be editing video with Sony Vegas, I would go with a 6-core 5820K and a Radeon Fury. The Geforce cards don't work very well with that software because of CUDA.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor ($368.99 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 612 Ver.2 44.2 CFM Rifle Bearing CPU Cooler ($38.00 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock X99 Extreme3 ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($168.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws 4 series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2800 Memory ($83.99 @ Newegg)...
Not much to complain about there, but if it's for editing then you'll definitely get better results with an 850evo 500GB instead of the 950pro. You can also afford a 2TB disk instead of the 1TB one with the $15 difference. You can also save money going with a cheaper 2666MHz ram, the performance difference is less than 1% in most cases, but price difference is huge.

I swapped the m.2 for the good old 850 ^_^ Also, I was going to get just 1 tb because I noticed WD has the 7200rpm option just with it. If I pick the 2tb one it would be @ 5400. So if I will need to upgrade in the future, I'll consider another tb :)
I picked the 2666mhz ram as well, as you suggested. I just have one more question to ask, since the cpu cooler is not available anymore (sigh) do you have any other valid option?
I loved the look of it and it makes me angry it went out of stock like that :(

Kind regards,

You should be able to fit the H5 Ultimate, and that's still in stock and not much more expensive than the h7

As for the HDD, you can always get https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002OWT61Q , and everyone knows hitachi (HGST) drives are the best (and why WD bought them out)
