Sell my MSI R9 290x(250 EUR) and buy MSI Nvidia GTX1060(460 EUR) is it worth?

It's only worth upgrading if your current component can't do what you want it to. If you don't feel that the 290X is lacking then you should keep it. Yes, you can get a good price but you're still going to be left out-of-pocket.

If you really want an upgrade then a GTX 1070 is the way to go, but you really need a 1440p 144hz monitor to justify it.

The vram is 4gb. Which card is worth to buy compared to r9 290x? Around 500-550 Eur. I would like to sell it because I believe is a good price to give it for 250 EUR as is "old" card and upgrade to something newer and faster.

GTX 1070, check reviews to find the cards you like and compare prices for the models available from where you buy.

sometimes going "overkill" are not really that bad. if he got the money then why not get it? back in 2013 i get my 660SLI despite only have 1600x900 monitors. part of it i just want to have fun experimenting on how it goes with multi gpu system but i can say i'm really glad with that decision. because i can max out (or almost max them out as long as there is no VRAM restriction like Shodow of Mordor) most of demanding games back then with my setup.
