What is the best upgrade of CPU for my System?

Hi there. I've been recently looking for a method to upgrade my performance in games such as the new BF1 Beta. I am almost certain my CPU is bottlenecking my system as it reaches 100% usage when running games such as GTA V and other intensive games. I originally considered the FX 6300 hexacore but the performance benefits would be fairly minimal so now I am looking at the 8 core FX 8370 as well as a new mother board.
Attached below is a picture of my current setup (right) and the new CPU/Mobo (left)

Current APU: AMD A8-6600k
GPU: MSI R9 380
RAM: 16GB Hyper X Fury
Basically at around Christmas I should have enough money to afford the upgrade but I am wondering which would be the best CPU to upgrade to and if changing CPU and Motherboard would cause any issues with my current build? At the moment I am looking at the 8 core with the MSI 970 mobo as the best upgrade as Userbenchmark says there would be a 10%~ increase in gaming performance in theory. I'm not that familiar with Intel's naming system so if anyone could suggest the best Intel CPU to upgrade to or an AMD one I would be grateful. I can't go too expensive so around £200 - £300 in total would be my budget in theory.
Thanks in advance!

Going on your £300 Budget (at maximum), something like this would be a fantastic upgrade:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£205.47 @ Scan.co.uk)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£74.75 @ BT Shop)
Total: £280.22

I'm not fully sure on better AMD CPUs/APUs so I'm recommending this one. You could always lower the Motherboard, as there are cheaper options.
