which configuration would be better if i am going to use ddr4 16 gb ram (2*8gb).
i am planning to purchase kingston hyperx fury but it comes in both type--
single rank - 8gb hyperX fury HX421C14FB2/8
dual rank - 8gb hyperX fury HX421C14FB/8
**note - i am going to use it for DUAL CHANNEL CONFIGURATION so tell me whats best for it.

my pc--
cpu - i5 6500
motherboard - gigabyte b150m d3h
motherboard supported ram link - http://download.gigabyte.asia/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-b150m-d3h-ddr3.pdf

appreciate suggestions & thanks in advance.

16GB is the sweet spot right now, definitely go with at least 16GB if you are editing video (32gb and large SSD recommended for 4K video)

yes, right now 16 gb is a sweet spot. & thanks for clarifying the performance ratio. i think i was too concern with the rank on which the performance is negligibly affected.
BTW Either Single Rank Or Dual Rank cost me at same price.

ok i got that & actually the confusion was due the rank of memory.
single rank vs dual rank ram when operated in dual channel configuration & which suites to my mobo Gigabyte b150m d3h.
