Hard drive starts whining after a short time playing. Stutters in the game synchronise with drops in the hard drive sound, leading me to believe this is a hard drive issue. The hard drive is a cheap 500gb 3Gb/s drive, so if anyone can confirm that this is the problem i'll just replace it. Only reason i'm uncertain is i recently upgraded from an HD7750 to a GTX 1070, so there's a possibility it could be that.

My spec
Asus Z170-E
i5-6600k factory
8GB RAM
GTX 1070
M.2 boot drive
500GB 3Gbps HDD

Solution
which bios version is it?

80°C on the CPU? That´s too high. Should be less than 70°C, better <64°C. Check the cooler installation and eventually reapply thermal paste.
Which cpu cooler is it?
Can´t you install the game to the m.2 boot drive ?

did you uninstall the amd graphics driver with ddu uninstaller? do that again if not and install latest nvidia drivers from nvidia.com

Bios is up to date? don´t flash in windows! use the integrated tool of the bios. Download the latest bios, extract it to an usb flash drive, enter bios and choose the ez flash tool.

check temperatures as well:

furmark
intel processor diagnostic tool

No space on the M.2 drive for GTA
Fresh install of windows after upgrading, so there's no AMD anything on the drive
BIOS is current according to the tool in the BIOS
Temperatures all seem to be fine (60-80 degrees on both cpu and gpu)
