i7-6700k and the motherboard can support up to 3866mhz of ram speed.
get the 3200MHz one then as the difference between CAS 12 and 14 is slim however the extra 800MHz will make more of a difference AFAIK.
Thanks, what is the benefit of having lower CAS and higher mhz?
CAS is basically how long it takes to recieve and respond to the instructions MHz is how many of these instructions it can process per second. Mathematically the difference is minute (0.000625 seconds faster) so you won't notice at all really. This difference is calculated with the CAS rating (14) divided by the MHz (3200MHz) Minus this calculation replaced with the timings for the other RAM. In this case...
(14 / 3200) - (12 / 2400).
This isn't 100% accurate but will give a general indication as to which may be faster. Also i got this formula from a post on here but couldn't find it.
