Hi Everyone,

I need to buy a Z170 board for my new built but I am terribly confused between Asus Z170-K and Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3 or Gigabyte GA-Z170-D3H. The Gigabyte D3H has 6 reviews on Amazon in my country, all 5 stars. The Asus has just one which is again 5 star.

Those two Gigabyte boards definately have more features and ports (USB/SATA) than the Asus but at the same time I see that the microATX version of the same gigabyte board called GA-Z170M-D3H has just too many complaints on new egg.

I have been an Asus user for the past 13 years without any issues but some extra features and ports on those GB boards seems like more value for money. Please help....

yeah, in US, the Z170-K is only ~10$ cheaper than the Z170 Pro Gaming.
But the Pro Gaming is much better. MB will serve you at least 3-4 years before it worth to consider upgrade these days.
So if you can afford, do it. Also the Asus Z170-A is a great one - check it.
I personally prefer Asus boards.
every GB board i owned had issues or died. Asus on the other hand is much more reliable. They also tend to have better BIOS and SW like AI Suit support.
on the other hand, this asus board is just a bit more expensive while much better:

can you say where you live and what is the budget for the MB so we could try to help to select the best option available ?

Thanks for the inputs. I am from India. Asus has 4-5 service enters in my city but Gigabyte has a collection center only and the nearest service center is like 250 Kms away. These motherboards translate to around 180$ here on Amazon. I might get them cheaper offline at a local store which I am going to check once I have decided what to buy. 180$ is preety much my max budget. Please see that PC hardware is expensive in India as compared to some other countries due to import duties. That Asus mobo is around $134 in US as shown by newegg

I like the Z170-A, it will even take my PCI Wifi adaptor. I might get it cheaper offline but there is one catch, its not listed on Asus India website. I don't know if its officially launched here or not and weather it will be covered under Asus India warranty. I'll try to call them up.
