I have been trying to ad an extra 8gb stick into my pc that has 16gb in already.
They are all the same type and frequency, they all work independently and also in pairs but when I try to input the third stick the motherboard gives an error.
I have looked up the error codes it gives and they're all ram errors. Does it need to have x4 sticks in it in order to work? Thanks in advance.
Pc spec:
Mb, asrock 970 extreme4,
Cpu, amd fx8350
Ram, 1866mhz hyperx fury 8gb sticks x3
