I have a PC with motherboard GA-P35-DS3.

I have a SSD drive and two regular HDDs in it. With only 2 drives, everything is OK but when I add the third drive, problems occur.

The syptoms are the same on Win 7 and Win 10 so I suspect the motherboard might be the cause.

With 3 drives the PC will not work on cold start. It goes through the BIOS check and even displays the Win 10 logo and loading animation but then the screen loses the signal and the PC continues to run but is not reading the drives anymore (no lights blinking).

If i push the restart button, it will reboot and load Win 10 without issues.

I can use all three drives, the only weird thing is that it shows the extra 2 drives as plugged in devices (like an USB key).

I have no idea even where to start diagnosing the problem so any help or input would be much appreciated.

Later in the evening after being shut down for a while the computer started fine on cold start.

This morning it went to blank screen again on cold start but after reboot it didn't start normally but instead I got 1 long and 2 short beeps which points to a graphic card error.

Any ideas?
