Thanks, bent the pins on my current mobo while installing closed loop cooling, sigh... And would like to save some $$ on the replacement, and since it's not for gaming I'm not worried about bottlenecks, but if it meant I had to replace my vid card then I would spend the +$40 for the real x16 slot..

F'n a shitty deal, I was done, it was running great, it was a BEAST, dual Xeon X5680's, 48gb ecc, gtx 760, pci-e ssd.. Passmark 4000+, cpu mark 14000, cinebench 15 cpu 1500, x264 while encoding 4 files at once it would hit 3000 fps, f'in a..

Buutttt.. in the build process I upgraded from x5650's (95w) to x5680's (130w) and the stock cooling was fine under normal use, but easily overwhelmed when pushed. So I had one lepa aquacharger laying around, picked up a second one, got them installed, everything seemed to go fine, it looked be-u-ti-full..

Except for the fact it would not post, nothing, not even an beep, mf'in, gdm, son of a b. ggggrrrr!!!!!! I guess mount pressure bent the pins?? But they looked fine, well until swapping in and out 6 diff. cpu's with diminishing concern for my pos mobo and now the pins are bent to shit, so it's new mobo for idiot boy ;-(
